Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Swing AI (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile application and related services (the “Service”). We aim to collect as little as we need, to be straightforward about what we do with it, and to give you meaningful control.

1. Information you provide

• Account information. If you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the basic profile fields they share.
• Swing videos and analysis data. When you record or upload a swing, we collect the video itself along with metadata our models generate from it (joint angles, club path, tempo, etc.).
• Optional profile details. Height, dominant hand, handicap, and similar fields you choose to add to improve the accuracy of feedback.
• Communications. If you contact support, we keep your messages and any attachments so we can respond.

2. Information collected automatically

• Device and app information. Device model, OS version, app version, language, time zone, and crash diagnostics.
• Usage information. Which screens you visit, which features you use, and how long sessions last. This is aggregated and used to improve the product.
• Identifiers. A pseudonymous installation ID. On iOS, we do not use the IDFA without your explicit App Tracking Transparency permission.

3. Information we do not collect

• We do not collect precise location data.
• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not access your photo library, microphone, or contacts unless you grant the corresponding system permission.

4. How we use information

• To provide the Service, including running swing analysis on your videos and returning feedback to you;
• To maintain and improve the Service, including debugging, security, and model evaluation;
• To communicate with you about product updates, security notices, and support;
• To prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms; and
• To comply with legal obligations.

5. How we use videos and AI models

By default, your swing videos are used only to generate analysis for you and to provide your personal history within the app. We do not use your videos to train general-purpose AI models without your explicit, opt-in consent. If we ever offer an opt-in research or model-improvement program, it will be clearly labeled, separate from core functionality, and revocable at any time.

6. Sharing

We share information only as described below:

• Service providers. We use trusted vendors for hosting, video processing, analytics, crash reporting, and customer support. They are contractually limited to using your information solely to provide services to us.
• Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Swing AI, our users, or the public.
• Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to the same protections set out in this policy.

7. Data retention

We retain your account and swing data for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual swings from within the app at any time. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain records for legal, security, or accounting purposes.

8. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards — encryption in transit, encryption at rest for stored videos, scoped access controls, and ongoing monitoring — to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your choices and rights

• Access, correction, deletion. You can review and edit your profile in the app, and request account deletion from in-app settings or by emailing privacy@swingai.app.
• Permissions. You can revoke camera, photo, and notification permissions at any time in your device’s system settings.
• Marketing. You can unsubscribe from promotional emails using the link in any such email. We will still send essential service messages.
• Regional rights. Depending on where you live (EEA, UK, California, etc.), you may have additional rights under laws like the GDPR or CCPA, including the right to portability, to object to certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

10. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. International data transfers

We are based in the United States and process information there and in other countries where our service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate legal mechanisms (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) to safeguard cross-border transfers.

12. Third-party services

The app is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play, each of which collects information independently under their own privacy policies. We do not control those collections.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice (for example, in-app or by updating the “Last updated” date above). Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
